Senior Will Graduate with a Quality Plan for the Future

The family of a 17-year-old student with dyslexia contacted K Altman Law for help navigating inconsistent grading policies and a lack of IEP accommodations. An immediate IEP reconvene was conducted, and the advocate found the current IEP to be completely insufficient to support this graduating senior. In addition to correcting the grading issue, the advocate worked with the school-based team to obtain updated evaluation data, create more appropriate goals and objectives, and develop a strong transition plan to connect the student with Vocational Rehabilitation and work study opportunities.
