🎤 Press Coverage
In August 2025, Keith Altman helped bring national attention to a student-athlete fairness dispute in Pennsylvania, articulating the core question in plain, practical terms – how school policies can protect every competitor’s opportunity to succeed while honoring established rules and procedures. His commentary resonated because it translated complex Title IX and equal-protection issues into everyday language for parents, students, and educators, positioning him as a clear, steady voice in a polarized debate. The story drew broad coverage across TV and trade/press outlets, including NBC10 Philadelphia, FOX News, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Law360, and Athletic Business.

Bringing Title IX to Life: Keith Altman Speaks at College of Southern Nevada
K Altman Law is honored to announce that Founding Partner Keith Altman has been invited to present “Title IX in Real Life” at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) this October. Tailored for students, staff, and future educators, the session translates policy into practical steps – what to do when a report is made, how supportive measures work, rights and responsibilities, and when disability (IDEA/504) and behavioral-health issues intersect. This engagement reflects our commitment to accessible, compassionate advocacy and deepens our partnerships across higher education and student services.

Core Service Reminder
What We Do and When to Call
A new school year brings new challenges. K Altman Law focuses exclusively on education matters, standing with students, families, and educators nationwide. Our work centers on four pillars.
📌 Student Defense Advocacy- Protects students facing academic integrity charges, disciplinary hearings, dismissals, and appeals from K-12 through graduate school.
📌 Special Education Advocacy- Ensures children receive the services and supports they are entitled to under IDEA and Section 504 evaluations, IEP/504 development, placement disputes, discipline issues, and due process.
📌 Title IX Representation- Guides students through gender-based misconduct and discrimination matters – from early strategy to hearings, appeals, and litigation.
📌 Education-Related Civil Rights & Litigation- Addresses constitutional and statutory violations, including disability and race discrimination, due process, free speech, and related claims.
What sets us apart is our integrated team of seasoned attorneys and credentialed education professionals who have worked inside schools and districts. That blend delivers practical strategies, clear communication, and focused execution, whether we are crafting an appeal, negotiating a resolution, or preparing for a hearing or trial.
Timing matters. If you receive an academic or conduct charge, a Title IX notice, an IEP denial, a suspension/expulsion recommendation, or a dismissal letter, contact us before responding or missing critical appeal deadlines. Early action often expands your options and improves outcomes.
How we engage: we begin with a confidential paid consultation to understand your goals, assess risks, and map a plan tailored to your situation. We serve clients across the country in a fully remote practice model and offer transparent, project-based fees for advisory matters and appropriate retainers for litigation.
If someone you know is navigating a school, university, or special education conflict, share this reminder. To discuss your situation, schedule a confidential consultation with our team this month.

Our special education advocacy team recently supported several families in navigating special education processes to secure meaningful outcomes for their children. This included helping one family obtain an out-of-district placement tailored to their child’s unique needs, assisting another with a successful transition to a new school and the development of a more robust IEP, and guiding a family through the IEP re-evaluation process to ensure they understood their rights and had all concerns addressed. These successes highlight our commitment to empowering families and ensuring students receive the individualized support they need.
K Altman Law and Ashley in particular were amazing.
