Ashley Bennett

Ashley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, English and Spanish from Duquesne University. She went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Special Education with a concentration in Transition Services from The Johns Hopkins University and a Supervisor Certification from The University of Pittsburgh. Ashley has over twenty-five years of experience in the field of Special Education; both as a teacher and an Administrator. She continues to support families through the special education process as a Special Education Parent Advocate. Ashley has a vast knowledge base of special education laws and regulations and she uses that knowledge to fight for students with disabilities in all areas of need. Prior to becoming a Parent Advocate, Ashley was a Supervisor of Special Education for a large school district in Pennsylvania. She remains committed to supporting families through the process of evaluation, educational programming, placement, services and IEP/504 plan implementation.
