Monica is a New England local who has dedicated her career to advocating for people
with disabilities. She comes to the firm with a strong background in civil service and
educational matters. Monica is barred in her home state of New Hampshire and the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Monica prides herself in working collaboratively with
opposing parties to achieve impactful outcomes for her clients.
Monica earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Hampshire where she
studied Political Science and Philosophy. After graduation, she moved to Southern
Ecuador to help establish and co-run a non-profit association for people with disabilities.
She also taught English as a second language and instructed high school students with
disabilities. Additionally, Monica worked at the New Hampshire State Senate as a
legislative aide and staffed the Senate Health and Human Services Committee.
Subsequently, Monica earned her Juris Doctorate from Vermont Law School and
Graduate Program’s accelerated juris doctorate program with honors. During her
studies, Monica served as Chair of the Social Justice Mission Scholars Program and
participated in an externship at the New Hampshire Disability Rights Center and a
semester in practice at Disability Rights Maine where she advocated for people with
disabilities, including students. After law school Monica worked as an Education Staff
Attorney for Community Legal Aid where she represented students at the K-12 level
with a focus on student discipline, Title IX, special education, language access,
McKinney Vento, and bullying.
